When an employee is hired, they receive an initial WMP allocation. They earn additional tokens by showing up to scheduled shifts, picking up overtime, achieving attendance milestones, or through manager awards.
When a shift opens up, it goes to auction. Employees who want that shift bid their tokens. The system awards the shift to the highest bidder and deducts the bid from their balance. Employees who consistently show up and perform well accumulate more tokens — and therefore more scheduling power over time.
